Impeach merrick garland

The Department of Justice was formed to uphold the rule of law, keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights. This week, it was weaponized against a former president for political gain.

Merrick Garland said it himself – he, a man with a years-long vendetta against President Trump – approved the search warrant. But nothing to see here folks, right? This is just your average, run-of-the-mill abuse of authority.

The left can house emails on illegal servers and make shady business dealings with China without so much as a second glance from federal investigators. What do Hillary and Hunter have that we don’t? Are cozy relationships with the media and donations to the Democrat National Committee all it takes to avoid legal scrutiny?

Never did I expect to see this level of corruption here on American soil. I’ll be the first to admit, I never had high hopes for President Biden, but this week he hit an entirely new degree of incompetence.

Every level of government, from local to federal, has experienced a breakdown of law and order under this Administration. Crime is on the rise. Our Southern Border is wide open. And the commander-in-chief is willing to unleash the FBI to kick up dirt on a potential future political opponent.

I hesitate to call this communism because, truth be told, it feels so far beyond that. It is full-on governmental corruption. It’s coming from the top, and it’s coming for you, too.

If this is how former presidents are treated, imagine what the federal government can do to everyday Americans, particularly now that Washington Democrats approved an additional 87,000 IRS agents.

Don’t think for a second that this Administration has your best intentions in mind. They’re here for one thing and one thing only: control. Now that they’ve got approval for their army at the IRS and the FBI is at their beck and call, there’s no telling what comes next.

I’m calling for Merrick Garland’s impeachment. It’s time to restore law and order and send Washington Democrats packing.

Monday, August 8: After my flight home was delayed three times and finally cancelled last Friday night, I spent the night in the airport lobby in New York and flew back home Saturday morning. Thankfully, I was home in time to get to Waycross in Ware County Saturday night for the eighth annual “Dancing with the Southern Stars,” a great event benefiting the Magnolia House Domestic Violence Shelter and Satilla Advocacy Services. With lively and energetic dancing from the competitors, great commentary from the emcees and outstanding singing by Cora Jane Tyre from Alma, the event raised more than $153,000 for these worthy organizations.

I’m headed to St. Simons Island in Glynn County this morning as I have the honor of speaking to the Golden Isles Republican Women at their monthly meeting. After bringing them up to date on the issues from Washington, this enthusiastic group of patriots ask great questions that reflect their deep love of our country and their concern of our current direction.

Afterwards, I head to Skylark women’s health clinic in Brunswick where I host a group of birthing support workers and advocates for a listening session.

Next, I head back to Pooler before heading to Macon for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Annual meeting tomorrow. During the drive, I stop in Metter in Candler County where I have a virtual interview with the Family Research Council to discuss the issues of the day.

Monday

Tuesday, August 9: After a Whip Team conference call this morning, I join in on a GOP member call where we discuss the disastrous Inflation Acceleration Act that Washington Democrats are bringing us back to Washington to vote on at the end of this week.

Next, I head to the GA Chamber of Commerce meeting where I appear on stage to address a group of over 2,000 and talk about our economy and infrastructure projects throughout our State.

Afterwards, I meet with the new UK Consul General for Georgia, Rachel Galloway. The Consul General is the senior UK official in a Consulate General, which is a subordinate office to the Embassy or High Commission, and represents the UK government for consular, visa, and trade activities.

Next, I head to downtown Macon where I visit First Choice Primary Care, a non-profit community health center that provides quality health care to insured, uninsured, and underserved individuals. The clinic has a pharmacy at this location and is very dependent on the 340b prescription drug program, a vital program that was created and intended for these types of clinics.

Before leaving town, I meet with a group of business owners in Macon to discuss federal issues.

Tuesday

Wednesday, August 10: I’m on the radio early this morning as I join my good friend, John Fredericks, on his show and we discuss the Democrats’ disastrous inflation bill and other topics.

Afterwards, I travel to Effingham County where I visit a Georgia Power solar field with two of their engineers to learn more about how the fields are operating. This particular field is a smaller one at only about 46 acres but still manages to generate quite a bit of electricity. Georgia is now one of the leading states for solar power, ranking in the top 10 solar states in the nation.

Afterwards, I head back to Pooler where I have the honor of being the guest speaker at the West Chatham Rotary Club’s weekly meeting. As a Rotarian myself, I am very proud of this club and the fine work they do in our community.

After bringing them up to date on Washington issues, I head to our Savannah district office where I meet with members of the RUFF group to discuss a number of issues they are interested in.

Next, I have a great meeting with my good friends from the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, including Rev. Herb Hubbard, as they bring me up to date on the great news of expansion at some of the area YMCAs.

Afterwards, I join in virtually to a Rules Committee meeting being held at the Capitol and represent the Energy and Commerce (E&C) Committee during the meeting. I also offer two amendments to the Democrats’ disastrous inflation bill which are quickly dismissed by the majority Democratic party.

Later, I have a meeting with members of the Animal Wellness Action group to discuss legislation that I have sponsored.

Wednesday

Thursday, August 10: After an early morning phone conference with staff to discuss the events of today, I have a phone interview with the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) to discuss tomorrow’s vote on the disastrous inflation bill.

Next, I have a phone interview with Newsmax to discuss the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that is included in this disastrous inflation bill being proposed by Washington Democrats.

Afterwards, I head to The Dive Savannah located on 37th Street in Savannah as I have a tour of the facility and learn of the great work this group is doing with the homeless population in our area. I also have the opportunity to help in the kitchen and prepare lunches to be delivered to area veterans. I am very impressed with the work that this great group is providing for our homeless population.

After a meeting with David Hart, General Manager of WSAV-TV in Savannah, I head to Waycross in Ware County where I tour the McKinney Medical Center and learn more about the great services they are providing for the insured, uninsured and underserved in our community. This week is National Health Center Week and McKinney Medical is a great example of the many fine Community Health Centers in our District.

Next, I head to Southeast Georgia Women’s Center in Waycross where I meet with staff and advocates for a birthing support listening session before heading back to Savannah and to the airport for my flight to Washington.

Thursday

Friday, August 12: I’m back at the Capitol this morning and our first vote series is at 10 a.m. followed by debate on the disastrous inflation bill being offered by the Democrats.

After our first vote series, I head back to my office where I have a virtual interview with A Starting Point to discuss nuclear energy in our country.

Next, I head back to the House Chamber where I speak on the disastrous inflation bill as a member of the Budget Committee and then head back to my office where I have a virtual interview with a professor from UCLA who is doing research on the 2014 election.

Afterwards, I head back to the House Chamber where I again speak on the disastrous inflation bill, this time as a member of the E&C Committee.

Later, votes are called, and in a strictly partisan vote, the Democrat majority passes the disastrous inflation bill that will raise taxes, kill research and development in pharmaceuticals resulting in fewer cures, and weaponize the IRS.
