Praying for President Trump and the First Lady
Join me in praying for a speedy recovery for President Trump and the First Lady following their COVID-19 diagnosis.

Reopen the PPP!
As small businesses suffer due to no fault of their own, there is more than $130 billion left in the Paycheck Protection Program. However, Speaker Pelosi is holding this funding hostage.

I have signed a discharge petition to force a vote on legislation to reopen the PPP for a second round as soon as possible. Small businesses do not have time for political games.

I will always fight for our small businesses and jobs!

This week on Buddy's Briefing
This week, I introduced legislation to create an essential medicines strategic stockpile.  At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, we quickly realized how reliant our medical supply chain is on foreign countries like China and India. Americans should not have to rely on other countries for access to the most basic medicines. The Essential Medicines Strategic Stockpile Act ensures that Americans have a constant stockpile of essential medicines that can be deployed to any part of the country at a moment's notice.

Also this week, I signed a resolution to condemn any attempt to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court of the United States. Unfortunately, because President Trump has rightfully made a nomination to the Supreme Court, Democrats are threatening to expand or 'pack' the Supreme Court. This is dangerous and threatens the delicate system of separation of powers and checks and balances that is in place. I will fight any attempt to pack the Court.

We discuss this and more in this episode of Buddy's Briefing.

Monday, September 28, 2020:  I’m in our Savannah office this morning and my first meeting is with one of my favorite advocates, Donna Camacho, who does a great job representing the Alzheimer’s Association.  Like so many people, Donna had a loved one who suffered from this dreaded disease and, after witnessing first-hand the devastating toll on the patient and caregivers, has dedicated herself to helping find a cure.
