Monday, October 5, 2026: On Saturday, I was on the beautiful waterfront in Darien in McIntosh County where I was honored to speak at Revolution on the River. The inclement weather didn’t dampen the spirits of these patriots who are excited to vote in the upcoming midterm election. Afterwards, I headed to the Brunswick airport where I took a flight to Atlanta and then on to Kansas City, MO, where I was honored to be the keynote speaker at the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Annual Convention. NCPA was founded in 1898 and represents almost 19,000 community pharmacies nationwide. I was also honored to be awarded the Association’s 2026 Spirit of Independence Award, given to individuals who have shown a significant and sustained contribution to the future of independent community pharmacy. This morning, I meet a constituent in downtown Brunswick to discuss a situation at the Federal Law Enforcement Center (FLETC) in Glynco before heading to Savannah. Once in my hometown, I was honored to speak to the Savannah Exchange Club at their weekly meeting and bring them up to date on issues in Washington. The club is comprised of 45 committees and has met regularly since 1929. Their four primary directions of service are community, Americanism, Youth and the prevention of child abuse. The Savannah Exchange Club is the parent organization of the Victor B. Jenkins Boy’s Club, the Coastal Empire Fair and the Exchange Club Center. Afterwards, I head back to our Brunswick district office where I film this week’s edition of Buddy’s Briefing before heading to St. Simons Island where I meet with a constituent to discuss a potential law enforcement program. Later, I attend a meeting with Republican Secretary of State candidate Tim Fleming who currently serves in the Georgia House of Representatives representing the 114th district. Located southeast of the Atlanta metro area, the 114th district contains the entirety of Morgan County and parts of Newton and Walton Counties, includes the town of Covington.

Tuesday, October 6, 2026: After joining in on our all-staff conference call, I head to our Brunswick district office where I meet with representatives from the University of Georgia (UGA) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Brunswick. The SBDC helps businesses grow by offering tools, training and resources and has 17 offices throughout Georgia. Since its inception in 1977, SBDC has assisted more than 530,000 small business owners. Next, I have a meeting with constituents to discuss dock regulations in the State of Georgia and the need for more inspections before heading to St. Marys in Camden County. Once in St. Marys, I meet with a constituent who is running for City Council before heading to Kings Bay Naval Base where I meet with RDML Bret Grabbe, Commander, Submarine Group Ten, and Capt. Bill Dull, Commanding Officer, Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. After a briefing on the Columbia class submarines, I tour the impressive facilities that the base has updated and added in order to prepare for the arrival of this newest class of nuclear submarine. I fought to bring this mission to the Georgia coast because it means jobs for Camden County and strength for our national security. I could not be prouder that Kings Bay is now the premier home for the Columbia Class- delivery, commissioning, crewing and deployment. After a great visit, I have a call with the New York Post to discuss the upcoming announcement of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner followed by a call with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) to discuss the Georgia Senate race then a call with the U. S. General Services Administration (GSA) to discuss the ongoing work at the Tomochichi Federal Building in Savannah. Once back on St. Simons Island, I attend a reception in honor of my good friend, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper before having a live interview with Jake Tapper on CNN where we discuss the upcoming midterm elections.

Wednesday, October 7, 2026: I’m in Richmond Hill in South Bryan County this morning at the Richmond Hill Primary School where I help celebrate Georgia Pre-K week by reading to students at the school. This is one of my favorite activities and seeing the excitement of these 4- and 5-year-olds as I read Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes makes my day. Afterwards, I head to Statesboro in Bulloch County where I attend a reception honoring Statewide Republican candidates Mike Collins, U.S. Senate, Greg Dolezol, Lt. Governor, Tim Fleming, Secretary of State, and Brian Strickland, Attorney General.

Thursday, October 8, 2026: I’m back in Savannah this morning and this time I’m at The Children’s Place next to Candler Hospital on Derenne Ave to read to another Pre-K class for Georgia Pre-K week. This school is very special to me as all three of our sons attended this school many years ago. Today, I read a book written by former University of Georgia football star Malcolm Mitchell. Malcolm also starred at Valdosta High School in Lowndes County and won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots. Afterwards, I meet with representatives from the Royce School in Savannah to learn more about the outstanding work they’re doing for neurodiverse learners. The Royce School serves over 100 students with learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum profiles and language processing challenges. Once back in our Savannah district office, I meet with constituents advocating for childhood cancer research before meeting with advocates from the GRAMMY organization, which represents thousands of performers, songwriters, and studio professionals across the country. Next, I have a live interview with Brian Shapiro on his Pushing the Limits podcast as we discuss news of the day including the progress we have made in bringing prescription drug prices down. After a great meeting with Angels for Adoption 2026 Nominee Mary Suddath and her family where I recognize her for her vocal open-adoption advocacy, I head to West Savannah where I present a proclamation to Bil Henderson with XPO Logistics service center for his perfect driving record as he has surpassed over 3 million consecutive, accident-free miles on the road. Next, I head to the Forest City Gun Club in Southside Savannah where I attend Georgia State Representative Jesse Petrea’s Party in the Pines where we hear from local elected officials as well as statewide candidates.
