The Biden Administration is releasing illegal immigrants with criminal convictions into the United States and has been for the past year.

An ICE agent told Fox News that these criminal convictions include “assault, DUI, drug possession, and illegal reentry.”

Washington Democrats love to smear Republicans as being anti-immigration. Yet it is their party that hurts immigrants attempting to enter the country legally by espousing a double standard for illegal southern border crossers and, well, everyone else.

If you are immigrating to the United States, here are some of the crimes that could bar you from obtaining citizenship:

• Drug trafficking
• Drug possession
• DUI
• Any crime for which you were incarcerated for 180 days or more
• Fraud and other crimes of dishonesty

Look familiar? We hold legal immigrants to an incredibly high standard because we know how great a privilege it is to become a citizen of the freest country to ever exist.

Or, at least, we used to. Washington Democrats aren’t just welcoming immigrants across our Southern Border who, if they tried to apply through the proper channels, would have been denied for valid safety reasons; they are also chartering them late-night busses and trains.

The TSA is even taking criminal arrest warrants as a valid form of ID.

This is a taxpayer-funded smuggling operation and it needs to stop.

We couldn’t even get our own citizens out of Afghanistan is a safe and timely manner, but this Administration has managed to quietly disperse criminals into our communities under the cover of night.

Imagine being from Spain, India, Nigeria, or any country that isn’t accessible to the United States through the Southern Border. You wait years, even decades, to get access to this country, knowing that one criminal conviction could end that dream for good.

While you wait, criminals are entering through the Southern Border without so much as a COVID-19 test.

The Biden Administration needs to be held accountable for putting drug cartels and human traffickers ahead of the rest of the world – including the American people.

Monday, January 24, 2022: As most of you know, I have been participating in the COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. As a member of Congress and a healthcare professional, I wanted to set a good example with my participation. The clinical trial I am involved in is a 26-month commitment and I still have another year of participation. This morning, I am back at the clinical offices where I have blood drawn for a check-up.

Afterwards, I head to our Savannah District office where I join in on our all-staff conference call before hitting the road again. I am heading to Waycross where I have the opportunity to address the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce Board at their monthly meeting and bring them up to date on news from Washington.

Next, I head to Unison Behavioral Health where they provide mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services for Ware and surrounding counties. Their great staff updates me on the ways they are utilizing the Community Mental Health Center funding to restore and sustain access to services that were impacted by the pandemic.

Afterwards, I head to the Ware County Jail where I meet with Sheriff Carl James for an update on the great job he and his staff are doing. Staffing remains a challenge for all of our businesses these days but is particularly difficult for the public safety industry.

Next, I head to the Waycross Police Department where I meet with Chief Tommy Cox to hear about the great work he and his staff are doing and learn more about an alleged assault he was the victim of when he was in the 6^th grade in Waycross. Evidently his teacher at the time (my mother-in-law of 43 years) threw a chalkboard eraser at him while he was misbehaving in class. As I understand it, the arrest warrant is still outstanding.

Keeping with the public safety theme, I head to Alma where I meet with Bacon County Sheriff Andy Batten and his Chief Deputy Shane Taylor and discuss with them the impact that the crisis at our Southern border is having on rural South Georgia.

Finally, I head to the Alma Lions Club meeting where I am honored to be the guest speaker and bring them up to date on happenings in Washington.

I end the night with an interview on Newsmax discussing Biden's poor immigration policies.

Wednesday, January 26, 2022: I’m in downtown Savannah this morning where I visit the JC Lewis Primary Health Care and Gateway Behavioral Health Services homeless clinic outreach programs that are set up here to serve those in need. These are great programs that provide necessary health services, both physical and mental, to our community.

Once in our Savannah District office, I lead a great virtual roundtable discussion between the GOP Doctor’s Caucus and the Veteran Administrations (VA) Academic Affiliations. The VA trains the vast majority of physicians in our country and has numerous affiliations with medical schools across the country.

Afterwards, I have a virtual call with representatives from Amneal Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in the U.S. before having a virtual call with representatives from Head Start to learn more about their mission to give every vulnerable child an opportunity to succeed in school and in life.

Next, I head to the Red Cross donation center in Savannah where I donate blood and meet with local media to encourage people to donate in order to help alleviate the severe shortage our community is currently experiencing.

Once back in our Savannah District office, I have a virtual call with representatives from Coca Cola to discuss the upcoming Beijing, China Olympics.

My last stop of the day is at the Class 4A State Champion Benedictine Cadet football team banquet in Savannah where I have the honor of presenting them a proclamation I had entered into the Congressional record in recognition of their outstanding accomplishment.

Thursday, January 27, 2022: On the way to our Savannah District office, I join in on our all-staff conference call and, once in the office, I have a virtual call with representatives from Bella Terra who share with me the exciting information about their new, environmentally friendly product they are bringing to market.

After a virtual call with the Health Industry Distributors Association to discuss supply chain issues and its impact on essential healthcare products, I head to downtown Savannah where I attend the always enthusiastic Buy Local Savannah luncheon.

Afterwards, I head to Richmond Hill where I visit the Bryan County Fire Headquarters and have a tour of the facilities led by Chief Freddy Howell and then meet with county officials to discuss their future plans for this growing area.

Next, I head to Heartwood at Richmond Hill, an exciting new development near the recently opened interchange on Belfast Keller Road and I-95. Part of Rayonier’s residential portion of this massive land development, this project has been years in the making and after much hard work is finally coming to fruition.

Afterwards, I head to downtown Savannah where I join a local alumni gathering of Young Harris College (YHC).

Friday, January 28, 2022: After our weekly Band of Brothers bible study in Garden City, I head back to Downtown Savannah where I meet with my good friend, YHC President Dr. Drew Van Horn, to catch up on the great work being done at one of my alma maters.

After stopping by the Savannah Fire Station on Oglethorpe Ave to film this week’s edition of Buddy’s Briefings, I head to St. Simons Island in Glynn County to the Sea lsland Golf Performance Center where I meet with Honeywell officials for an update on their superfund site in Brunswick that they plan to convert into a public golf course.

Next, I head to Southeast Georgia Health System (SGHS) Hospital where I meet with new CEO Scott Raynes. I then head to our Brunswick District office where I meet with a constituent with the No Kill Glynn County group and, afterwards, with a local pastor who offers me much appreciated words of encouragement.

After a virtual call with Michael Smith, CEO of Greater Valdosta United Way to discuss the new counties in the First District he will be covering, I have a radio interview on the Vince Coglianese show to discuss President Biden's recent call with Ukraine’s President regarding an eminent Russian invasion of that country.

Finally, I head to beautiful Jekyll Island, an area that former Governor M.E. Thompson called “a playground that belongs to every Georgian” for their 75^th anniversary celebration. Complete with a synchronized swimming exhibition, fireworks, big band music and a wonderful program that included an anniversary cake pull, the spectacular event was appropriate for a spectacular place.
