WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter was presented with the National Federation of Independent Business’ (NFIB) Guardian of Small Business Award for his fierce defense of small businesses during the 117th Congress.
“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. As a former small business owner in Georgia’s First District, I understand that government regulations often stifle growth and innovation. From fighting tax increases and trillion-dollar spending packages that spike inflation to rolling back regulations, I will always support policies that make it easier to start and run a business in America,” said Rep. Carter.
“The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is presented to Members of Congress who have proven themselves to be real champions of small business,” said NFIB President and CEO Brad Close. “This Congress, small businesses emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic but faced continual threats of high inflation, workforce shortages, and supply chain disruptions. These NFIB Guardians demonstrated strong support of small businesses on key issues.
