PHOTO RELEASE: Georgia’s Carter, Williams make good on Chick-Fil-A wager after Alabama’s shocking SEC Championship upset win

Washington, December 6, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Reps. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) and Nikema Williams (D-GA) made good on a friendly wager with Reps. Terri Sewell (D-AL) and Robert Aderholt (R-AL) by providing a lunch of Georgia’s own Chick-Fil-A recognizing the University of Alabama’s surprise upset win against the University of Georgia in Saturday’s SEC Championship game.


“I’m a man of my word, but rest assured – next year, the SEC Championship title is coming back home to Georgia,” said Rep. Carter. “Congratulations to the University of Alabama and GO DAWGS!”
