WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA), Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFK) to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services:
“Making America Healthy Again starts with addressing our nation’s chronic disease epidemic, and Secretary Kennedy is an excellent choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services as it tackles this problem, which impacts 129 million people in the United States. The Health Subcommittee, which I am proud to lead, will work alongside President Trump and Secretary Kennedy to lower chronic disease rates, fight the scourge of fentanyl, and build a health care system that puts patients’ health and wellbeing first.”
