Congressman Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (GA-01) released the following statement on President Trump’s budget blueprint:

“The number one responsibility of the federal government is to provide for the common defense. As the proud representative of four military installations in the First District of Georgia, it is encouraging to see that we finally have a president that sets our national security and our military as a priority. 

“The blueprint introduced today is a good starting point. Now, I’m ready to work with my colleagues in Congress and the Trump administration to create a fiscally sound budget to grow our economy and create a better future for our children and grandchildren. It’s past time to cut up the credit cards to rein in Washington’s spending addiction, and I believe we can work together to achieve this."
