Carter Statement on the President’s Fiscal Year 2016 Budget Request
Washington,
February 2, 2015
Congressman Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (GA-01) released the following statement today on the release of the President’s Fiscal Year 2016 Budget Request.
“Again, I find myself disappointed, but not surprised by the President today. The Obama Administration has proven again that they have no interest in helping hardworking taxpayers and families or balancing the budget. Even while proposing an unsettling amount of new tax increases, the President’s budget never balances – ever. Most alarming, the budget increases total spending by 65 percent in just a decade. The American people have sent a clear message that is it time to enact true spending reforms to put an end to Washington’s out of control fiscal situation. This budget clearly and drastically misses that message and I am ready to work with my colleagues to put forward solutions that will grow our economy, protect Georgia’s families and create a better America for our children and grandchildren.” |
