Carter Votes to Reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program

Congressman Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-Ga.) voted today to reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for five years.
"Having the honor of representing the entire coast of Georgia, I know firsthand how important this program is for many families," said Carter. "Especially with the devastating hurricanes that have impacted our area recently, the NFIP is more important than ever. I am glad this legislation not only reauthorizes the program, but also includes important reforms to help policyholders." H.R. 2874, the 21st Century Flood Reform Act, passed the House today with Carter's support. Among other provisions, the legislation:
