Carter Applauds Decision to Keep Georgia-Florida Game in Jacksonville

Congressman Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-Ga.) released the following statement after it was announced that the annual University of Georgia vs. University of Florida football game will remain in Jacksonville, Florida through the 2023 season:
"This is great news for the First District of Georgia and the Golden Isles. The Georgia-Florida weekend is a big weekend for Southeast Georgia. It brings many fans and as much as $6 million dollars in economic impacts to our area. Today's announcement ensures it will stay that way. I thank the University of Georgia and all those involved with making sure the game stays where it should. GO DAWGS!" |
