Carter earns award for conservative achievement

WASHINGTON, D.C.Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) earned the American Conservative Union Foundation’s (ACUF) Award for Conservative Achievement for his dedication to conservative values during the first session of the 117th Congress.

“I came to Congress to defend the Constitution and promote America First policies that are important to Georgia’s First Congressional District. This rating is proof that I am delivering on those promises,”
said Carter. “I will never waver in my commitment to promoting conservative values – you have my word on that.”

Each year, the ACUF evaluates lawmakers on their commitment to conservative policies. Rep. Carter was among 63 lawmakers with a conservative rating above 80%.

According to their website, to produce this year’s scorecard, the ACUF’s Center for Legislative Accountability analyzed every vote taken last session and selected a wide array of issues relating to fiscal, tax, regulatory, education, defense, environment, Second Amendment rights, election security, life, and government integrity. All U.S. lawmakers at the federal and state levels are scored on a 100-point scale.
